New store "Tsutaya Electrics" and Spanish Royal Warrant "Mallorca" to open at Futako Tamagawa Rise, totaling 18 stores

Dec 16, 2014

The Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Center Terrace Market commercial facility will open in late April 2015. The full details of its second-phase business plan have been revealed. Futako Tamagawa Rise is the central project in the redevelopment of the area around Futako Tamagawa Station, the largest in Tokyo. The first phase of the redevelopment project, which opened in March 2011, includes a shopping center and other facilities, and Terrace Market will open adjacent to it. A total of 18 stores are planned for the site, creating a natural space with a plaza and roof garden. The merchandise lineup will focus on miscellaneous goods and interior design, with plans to open stores including the second store of EN ROUTE, a select shop run by UNITED ARROWS; lifestyle shop ACTUS; and ZARA HOME, which sells home textiles and other household goods. New business formats include a market selling freshly grown vegetables from Futakotamagawa, as well as "Gardens Marche," offering lifestyle items such as tableware, miscellaneous goods, and table plants. DIY and gardening online store "DIY Tools.com" will open its first Kanto location. Meanwhile, gourmet shop "Mallorca," a purveyor to the Spanish royal family, will be making its first appearance in Japan. Other planned openings include Seattle-based cinnamon roll cafe "Cinnabon/Seattle's Best Coffee," ramen restaurant "Ippudo," chicken specialty restaurant "Kashiwa" serving Hinai Jidori chicken teppanyaki, home-cooking restaurant "Bubby's," which started out as a pie specialty store, and family restaurant "100 Spoons," run by Smiles of Soup Stock Tokyo. Tsutaya Electrics, a new store format from Tsutaya Bookstore, will propose a new lifestyle by combining magazines, books, cafes, and home appliances. At Setagaya Ward's first cinema complex, 109 Cinemas Futako Tamagawa, you can enjoy the ultimate visual experience at the premium IMAX Digital Theater. If you want to work up a sweat, be sure to check out Atrio Due Futako Tamagawa, which has one of the largest machine gyms in the area, as well as a pool, jacuzzi, and hot spring facilities.
