
Lumine will open a new facility, "West Exit Lumine," at the west exit of Yokohama Station for a limited time. The retail section is scheduled to open in late February, with the food and beverage section and event space scheduled to be rolled out in April. The store will remain open until construction on the former station building site begins for the new building.
The concept of West Exit Lumine is "We love (heart mark) YOKOHOMA—a stage where people who love their hometown gather and liven up the city." The facility will feature a selection of shops with an emphasis on a relaxed, casual atmosphere, offering a fun holiday shopping experience for a wide range of generations, including families. The store will have seven retail stores, one food and beverage outlet, and an event space. The store will cover approximately 900 square meters. The store will also actively implement "unique to Yokohama" projects, such as collaborations with local businesses. The aim is to promote the charm of Yokohama, a city filled with local love, and liven up the city.
In addition, ahead of the opening of the West Exit store, Yokohama Lumine is running the "MY BEST YOKOHAMA PHOTO - Creating our beloved Yokohama together" campaign. Photos of your favorite Yokohama scenery or memories are being collected on the campaign website. Applicants will be entered into a lottery to win gift certificates worth up to 50,000 yen, and selected photos will be used as decorations inside the building at the time of opening, adding a touch of elegance to the opening of the West Exit Lumine. Applications will be accepted until January 31st.
