Godiva's New Year's chocolate is the horse-themed "Nouvellane"

Godiva Japan will be selling the "Nouvellanée Collection," which is based on the horse, the zodiac sign for 2014. It will be available for a limited time until January 7th at Godiva shops in major department stores and Godiva specialty stores nationwide. "Nouvellanée" means "New Year" in French. The Godiva logo, Lady Godiva astride a horse, is featured on both the chocolate and the packaging. The three limited edition chocolates are: "Chevale," an almond praline with cherry and honey wrapped in milk chocolate; "Chevanoir," a caramel and pear ganache with a subtle vanilla scent wrapped in dark chocolate; and "Chevale Blanc," a macadamia cream and pineapple ganache wrapped in white chocolate. The limited edition Carrés come in two varieties: "Carré Milk Crunch," a milk chocolate with the texture of puffed rice, and "Carré Dark Strawberry," a dark chocolate with small pieces of strawberry and a sweet and sour aroma.

The assortment includes limited edition pieces and limited edition Carrés, and comes in sets of 6 (1,575 yen), 9 (2,625 yen), and 12 (3,675 yen).
