
A collaboration box featuring chocolates from the popular manga "Shitsuren Chocolatier" (Mizushiro Setona/Shogakukan Flower Comics α), which has sold over one million copies, will be available at Salon du Chocolat 2014. Chef Tsuchiya Koji of "Theobroma" recreates the chocolates that appear in the manga's memorable scenes, including the iconic chocolate featuring the four-leaf clover that appears on the logo of the shop (Chocolavie) that appeared in the third chapter of volume 1. The box will be sold exclusively at Salon du Chocolat, starting from Isetan Shinjuku from January 22nd to 27th, 2014, before expanding to JR Kyoto Isetan, JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan, Iwataya Main Store, Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi, Sendai Mitsukoshi, and Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store. "Shitsuren Chocolatier" tells the story of the protagonist, Kodo Souta, who travels alone to France to train as a chocolatier, the artisan of chocolates Saeko loves, in order to win her heart. He eventually becomes a top-class chocolatier. The series won the 36th Kodansha Manga Award (Shojo Division) and the 2nd anan Manga Award. Currently, seven volumes have been published, with a total circulation of over one million copies. Author Mizushiro Setona is known as a chocolate lover, and she also illustrated the charity box unveiled at Salon du Chocolat in January of this year. The manga has been adapted into a TV drama that will air on Fuji TV's Monday 9pm slot starting in January of next year, with idol group Arashi's Matsumoto Jun set to play the lead role.
