Pierre Hermé, the pastry chef known as the Picasso of the pastry world, will release the Japanese version of his recipe book, "Pierre Hermé Satine," in early February. The book features approximately 50 original recipes based on his signature creation, "Satine." Satine is inspired by the dancers featured in the stage production of "Moulin Rouge," and is made with cream cheese, orange, and passion fruit. The book features 50 original recipes based on Satine, including macarons, cheesecake, choux pastries, mille-feuille, tarts, chocolates, financiers, galettes, sables, madeleines, scones, granola, popcorn, croissants, sandwiches, jams, yogurt, and cocktails. Satine is also featured in the book alongside floral art by floral artist Makoto Azuma, capturing Pierre Hermé's luxurious worldview.
From 7pm on February 8th, a talk event featuring Pierre Hermé, "Pierre Hermé Talk Event to Commemorate the Publication of the Japanese Edition of 'Satine'" will be held at Daikanyama T-Site. In addition to discussing Satine and other creative endeavors, you can enjoy Satine sweets along with drinks from Bar Anjin. There will also be a signing session for 'Pierre Hermé Satine' after the talk.
