Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2014 collection, themed "Visions from an Ancient Sicilian Temple," was inspired by ancient Sicilian mythology. It also referenced Fellini's film "Satyricon." The collection kicked off with a dress featuring a lithograph of an ancient Sicilian temple, followed by organza dresses embroidered with almond blossoms—a symbol of spring in Sicily—and dresses featuring Mallorcan ceramics, ancient coins, and polka dots. Mini dresses featured flared sleeves and skirts, while knee-length pencil skirts were paired with compact tops to emphasize elegant, vertical silhouettes. Cream, red, black, and dark green were the primary colors, and luxurious materials such as macramé lace, silk, brocade, and gold-printed leather were used abundantly. Belts shaped like large ancient coins and antique coin headbands adorned the outfits. The heels of the shoes were intricately crafted with designs resembling temple pillars and inlaid with coins and stones.
For the finale, all the models appeared wearing gold dresses of various designs.
