
FENDI has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2014 advertising campaign visuals. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Based on the concept of a "water wall," the campaign uses water, a symbol of Rome, as a backdrop motif. Lagerfeld explains, "The inspiration for this campaign comes from the element of life: water. It's perfect for this season's light, transparent graphic collection. The icy freshness is in perfect harmony with the fresh colors." The models are Danish model Nadja Bender and Puerto Rican model Joan Smalls. The hair and makeup are natural, complementing the garments, which are inspired by the world of computer science. The women will be carrying iconic Fendi bags such as the PEEK A BOO, MINI PEEK A BOO and 2JOURS bags, as well as the new PETITE 2JOURS and 3JOURS bags. The campaign will be featured in magazines around the world from February. Karl released a photo book celebrating water, "The Glory of Water," last fall as part of FENDI for FOUNTAINS, a project by FENDI aimed at protecting Rome's fountains.
