The 19th chapter, "The Time of CHANEL," has been released as part of "INSIDE CHANEL," a project that unravels CHANEL's heritage in the form of short films.
It has been 30 years since Chanel launched its first full-scale wristwatch, the Premiere, in 1987. The short film explores the Maison's philosophy of incorporating new codes into the world of watches with the same passion as back then, as well as founder Gabrielle Chanel's concept of "time," and delivers a powerful message to women living today.
Gabrielle Chanel's words, "I only know how to live in the present," symbolize her free spirit, which races through the ages with intuition and bold action. Set to delicate illustrations and lyrical music, the film explores the importance of living each irreplaceable moment, while showcasing the many timepieces the Maison has created to date.
Throughout 2017, CHANEL has focused on its founder's first name, Gabrielle, and produced four short films themed around her key words: "rebellion," "allure," "freedom," and "passion." This is the second of these.
This year, as the most important model for the 30th anniversary of its watch division, CHANEL has announced the new "Première Camélia Collection Skeleton," equipped with an in-house caliber packed with luxury watchmaking technology. The "Première," a watch that symbolizes the creativity of the Creation Studio, has been reborn with a jet-black skeleton movement, writing a new page in the Maison's history as a watch that continues to give off "allure" from time to time.
