The 18th chapter of the "INSIDE CHANEL" film project, which unravels the history and identity of CHANEL, has been released: "Gabrielle: A True Rebel."
The film offers new insights into Gabrielle, known affectionately as Coco Chanel, the house's founder, and the creations that made her legendary. By highlighting this chapter, viewers can delve deeper into the 17 previous films.
The black-and-white film depicts Gabrielle's instincts as she moves forward into the future, guided by three principles: choice, desire, and purpose. Gabrielle's thirst for freedom and rebellious spirit inspired her creative endeavors, and her avant-garde spirit gave birth to her unique style and look. This film explores her life, which not only revolutionized fashion but also challenged the traditional codes of jewelry and fragrance. The film also explores the timeless masterpieces of the House, such as how the iconic black jacket was born and the secrets hidden in Marilyn Monroe and her beloved Chanel No. 5. Throughout 2017, Chanel will focus on its founder's first name, Gabrielle, and release short films themed around her four signature values: "rebellion," "freedom," "passion," and "allure." In addition, the film unveiled a bag named after Gabrielle de Chanel in the Spring/Summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection, and the launch of a new fragrance, "Gabrielle Chanel," is scheduled for fall.
