BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE, a brand under the ISSEY MIYAKE brand, has released a new special movie showcasing the brand's Spring 2017 bag collection and the appeal of the items. The new "PRISM FROST" series, released on March 1st, features the delicate texture of the fabric from the brand's iconic "PRISM" series, and comes in three refreshing pastel tones: light blue, lime green, and cream. The matte texture gives a sporty impression while also enhancing elegance, and the bags radiate a delicate sparkle when light reflects off them. The lineup includes three types: the classic tote bag (¥45,000 each), a clutch bag with a chain (¥32,000 each), and a pouch with a sturdy gusset (¥14,000 each). The special movie "BAO BAO DETAIL," released to coincide with the release of the new bags, continues the previous work with tha ltd.'s Yugo Nakamura as creative director, with the concept handled by Taku Satoh, who has worked on the logos of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa and the National Museum of Nature and Science. The cameraman was Hiroshi Iwasaki. The movie focuses on BAO BAO's iconic triangular motif, showcasing the intricate details of the product, which flexibly changes appearance with movement, through unique visual beauty and light-hearted music. The creation concept is, "It is precisely because BAO BAO is so delicately and meticulously crafted that it can transform into various shapes, immersed in light, and create a rich range of expression.
