Lexus releases amazing trick photo site, including panoramic views of commercial filming locations

Lexus launched the "Trick CT Trip" web content on January 16th to coincide with the launch of the facelifted CT200h, a premium hybrid compact car. Based on the concept of "Any city can become a place filled with fun with the CT," the website takes advantage of the CT200h's agile driving and compact size to capture visual trick photos that would never be possible in everyday life. The website explores cities along the US West Coast to find stunning optical illusions and uploads one photo per day. A map of the shooting locations and a documentary video documenting the process of capturing the photos have also been released. Accessing a Lexus magazine ad with a smartphone barcode reader launches "Amazing 360°," a panoramic view of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, where the commercial was shot. The screen features an all-around view that unfolds in all directions, not just horizontally but also vertically, giving the viewer the feeling of being transported into the world of a magazine advertisement, from the cobblestones on the ground to the night sky of Lisbon. The seven colored cars arranged around the screen are pop-up displays of the CT's selling points, TV commercials, special sites, and more. A similar system is also used on the CT200h website.
