Onitsuka Tiger x Andrea Pompilio to hold runway show in Korea

Apr 7, 2017

Onitsuka Tiger and Onitsuka Tiger designer Andrea Pompilio held a collection show in Seoul, South Korea on March 30th. The venue was Seongdong-gu, on the eastern side of Seoul, a city that has become a fashion hub in recent years thanks to its well-developed fashion industry infrastructure, including textile factories. The entire three-story building was rented out for the show, showcasing Andrea Pompilio's 2017 Spring/Summer and 2017-18 Fall/Winter collections, as well as Onitsuka Tiger's 2017-18 Fall/Winter collection, in a venue-wide experience. Among the approximately 300 visitors who attended the show were Korean actors Lee Je-hoon and Yoo Yeon-seok, and actress Lee Yo-won. Based on the concept of "The new street preppy," Andrea Pompilio's 2017-18 Fall/Winter collection combines streetwear-inspired oversized sweaters and college cardigans with classic button-down shirts, Chesterfield coats, and washed jeans, creating a modern-meets-classic style. The newly announced items will be released sequentially from July 2017 at Onitsuka Tiger directly managed stores and select shops in Japan, Europe, and Asia.
