TOMATO founder John Warwicker and Onitsuka Tiger release 100 limited edition sneakers

Apr 6, 2017

Onitsuka Tiger and John Warwicker, one of the founding members of the design collective TOMATO, have teamed up to create a limited-edition sneaker called the "COLESNE LO "TOMATO: SHIBUYA SHIBUYA"" (26,000 yen), which will be released on April 15th. This collaboration was initiated when Onitsuka Tiger became an official partner of the group's 25th anniversary celebrations, which saw the group take over Shibuya PARCO and other areas in March 2016. The sneaker is based on the "COLESNE LO," a low-top model with an original design inspired by classic basketball shoes. In conjunction with John Warwicker's own projects, which he has been researching for many years, the upper features a color scheme inspired by Shibuya, Tokyo, with yellow, purple, and red colors. The sneakers will be available in a limited run of 100 pairs at the Onitsuka Tiger Omotesando and Shibuya stores, and purchasers will receive an edition signed photo art by John Warwicker and a special shoe box.
