Acne Studios' entire denim line will be reborn as a new line, Acne Studios Bla Konst, on April 6th. Also on the same day, the world's only Bla Konst project store will open in Shibuya, Tokyo. Creative Director Jonny Johansson explains, "We decided to launch Acne Studios Bla Konst to create our own free domain while working alongside our existing collections. Our denim creations are like research that is constantly evolving and moving forward." The newly opened Bla Konst Tokyo store (1-10-8 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will introduce three new staple styles for both men and women: baggy, straight, and skinny. Six other styles, including denim jackets, denim shorts, and skirts, will be designed from scratch to fit the new line.

The line's first seasonal collection will be based on the ideas of "Swedish outdoors" and "functional artist uniforms."
