"Charles & Keith" is opening its first store in the Kansai region, and the Umeda Opa store is a little smaller. New products are released every week worldwide.

May 1, 2013

Umeda OPA opened on April 19th. While it only has two floors, the first and second basements, it features brands making their debut in Japan and the Kansai region. One of the most notable is Charles & Keith, a fast-fashion shoe and bag brand from Singapore. The Umeda OPA store is its third store in Japan and its first in the Kansai region. The Umeda store is 66 sq. meters. The flagship store in Harajuku, Tokyo, opened on the 6th of this month and is approximately 230 sq. meters. The standard size is 100 sq. meters, so the Umeda store is a little smaller. The company plans to open one or two more stores this year, with a goal of 40 stores in three years. The product mix is 62% shoes, 35% bags, 1% sunglasses, 1% belts, and 1% bracelets. Prices range from ¥5,500 for shoes to ¥7,000 for bags. New products are introduced weekly, globally, and most items sell out quickly.
