T by ALEXANDER WANG's pop-up store will be opening in Tokyo and Osaka. It is currently on display on the third floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store until May 7th, and will also open at D.EDIT on the third floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from May 15th to 21st.
The store will offer an early release of a selection of items from the pre-fall collection, including the brand's signature "Classic TEE" T-shirt collection in limited-edition packaging, as well as limited-edition designs. Popular bags will also be available. Additionally, the first 50 customers to purchase over ¥21,000 at each store will receive a pencil set, the brand's first original novelty gift.
The limited-edition Classic TEE "DISTRESS WASHED PILLY" is a unisex design featuring individually distressed slub fabric T-shirts. The collection comes in three styles: sleeveless (¥16,800), short-sleeved (¥18,900), and long-sleeved (¥19,425). The long-sleeved shirts are available in desert (sand beige) only, while the others are available in black and desert.
The pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku, which opened today on May 1st, also sells the swim rings and dolphins that were released exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza last fall. A brand representative said, "In addition to T-shirts, we offer a wide range of currently wearable items, such as the ever-popular silk blouse series, in a wide variety of colors, creating a sales area that truly presents fashion."
T by Alexander Wang launched in the 2009 Spring/Summer season with the concept of "everyday wear like a T-shirt." The collection focuses on basic items, and in addition to T-shirts, jackets and pants are selling well.
