An exhibition by Swiss typography unit Maximage Societe Suisse will be held at G/P Gallery in Ebisu, Tokyo from the 21st. It will run until June 20th.
This time, the exhibition will feature their latest poster, "Multi Plakatix." Special tote bags featuring their typofaces will also be available for sale at the gallery. Rare collections of their work, "Typeface as Program" and "Maximage Formula Guide," which are difficult to find in Japan, will also be on sale. A related talk show will be held during the exhibition.
Maximage Societe Suisse is a duo consisting of David Keshavjee and Julien Tavelli. They are based in Lausanne, Switzerland and Berlin, Germany. They are known for their designs, which combine advanced printing techniques, described as "neo-analog," with experimental handwork. Their design work covers a wide range of areas, including graphic design, photography, self-publishing, posters, books, and publications that collect these elements. They also provide their skills in book design, catalogs, web design, and commissioned work from other companies. In Japan, their font is used in the logo for "ReStyle" at Isetan Shinjuku.
