From May 24th to 28th, fashion journalist Tomoaki Shimizu (Tomo-kun) will be hosting an event called "A Stroll Through Paris's Flea Markets" at Gallery Muveil (5-12-24 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Chateau Toyo Minami-Aoyama B1F), a shop in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. Tomo-kun has lived in Paris for 16 years. He's also an antiques specialist who has made visiting flea markets his life's work. His blog, "Tomo-kun's Stroll Through Paris's Flea Markets," which features information on Paris's four major flea markets, including Clignancourt, as well as unique antique items, has become so popular that a book has been published. While similar events have been held in Tokyo and Osaka in the past, this one will feature the largest selection yet. A diverse range of items, from affordable finds to authentic antiques, including accessories and miscellaneous goods, will be shipped directly from Paris. Additionally, several stuffed animals from the collection of Tomo-kun, who is a well-known stuffed animal collector, will also be on display.
Gallery MUVEIL opened in 2012 as a direct store of MUVEIL. Located in the basement of a vintage apartment building, in addition to the shop space, it also has an exhibition space where pop-up events are held regularly.
