Swilldens and Merci capsule collection arrives in Japan for the first time

Oct 10, 2013

A special event featuring "YEPA," the capsule collection by Parisian fashion brand SWiLDENS, debuting in Japan for the first time, is being held at The Stage #3 on the 3rd floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store from October 9th until the 15th.

This limited-edition collection was created by designer Juliette Swildens for the Parisian concept store Merci. Based on the theme of "Princess of Winter," the collection features intricately embroidered silk dresses and scarves, as well as fur jackets combined with silk, while retaining the urban cowboy aesthetic that has always been a feature of Swildens' collections. The collection's iconic feather motif is also incorporated throughout.

Juliette Swildens grew up in the family that founded Merci, the children's lifestyle store Bonton, and the French fragrance house Annick Goutal. In 2006, he launched Swilldens, a brand that reflects his own lifestyle. Its vintage style, which combines feminine and masculine tastes by incorporating 80s rock culture and traditional men's dress codes, is popular among Parisian women.

In addition, a pop-up event featuring Bonton clothing and household goods is being held on the store's 6th floor children's clothing floor until the 22nd.
