Annick Goutal to release four floral-scented "Soliflore" fragrances in September

Aug 9, 2013

Annick Goutal will release a new fragrance collection, "SOLIFLORES," which expresses the scent of flowers, on September 8th. The lineup includes four eau de toilette scents: "Rose Splendide" with a rose scent, "Le Chevrefeuille" with a honeysuckle scent, "Le Muguet" with a lily of the valley scent, and "La Violette" with a violet scent (each priced at 13,545 yen for 50ml and 17,640 yen for 100ml). They were created by perfumer Camille Goutal, daughter of the brand's founder, Annick Goutal. The brand was born when Annick, who was also active as a pianist and fashion model, discovered her talent for perfumery and opened her first store in Paris in 1981. After Annick passed away in 1999 at the age of 53, her daughter Camille and her partner Isabelle Doyen took over. According to Bluebell Japan, which distributes the brand domestically, the fragrances currently enjoying global popularity are "Petite Cherie," which Annick created with her feelings for Camille in mind, and the citrus-flavored "Eau D'hadrien." In Japan, where summers are hot and humid, many people choose soft, light notes, and rose is a particularly popular floral scent.
