Takisada Nagoya presents the light-absorbing and heat-generating material "Ray & Warm" at the 2014-2015 AW Materials Exhibition

Oct 29, 2013

Takisada Nagoya has adopted "Urban Camouflage" as the overall theme for its Fall/Winter 2014 material project. This does not simply refer to camouflage patterns, but rather to a broader definition of camouflage, including animal and reptile prints, digital patterns, solid geometric patterns, and 3D geometric patterns.

As always, the overall theme will be divided into four sections: "Balmy Heart," "Fearless," "No Style, No Life," and "It's Fashionista." "Balmy Heart" will feature soft-touch materials such as slightly brushed fabrics and angora and cashmere blends. Warm colors like beige, pink, and red will be used as base colors, with winter pastels like sax blue and pale green as accent colors. "Fearless" will feature materials with a wild yet scientific look. Browns, ice whites, and silver-grays will be used as base colors, with gold accents. "No Style, No Life" will feature a Scandinavian-inspired design. Beige, charcoal gray, and heather gray are accented with ice blue. "It's Fashionista" features bright, flashy colors and patterns.

In addition, "Master of Creation," a cross-departmental project that was introduced in the previous 2014 Spring/Summer project, will continue into 2014 Fall/Winter. This time, particular attention will be paid to bonding materials and needle punch techniques. In addition, a variety of Takisada Nagoya original materials will be proposed, using "Ray & Warm," a cellulose-based light-absorbing, heat-generating material developed by Unitika. "Ray & Warm" absorbs sunlight and converts it into heat, while at the same time absorbing moisture from the human body to generate heat.
