French brand Max Pittion's sunglasses are being reissued for the first time in half a century

Oct 29, 2013

Max Pittion, an eyewear brand founded in France in 1921, is reissuing sunglasses.

Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer acquired the rights, marking the brand's relaunch after half a century. The design was handled by The Light Co. Ltd. (701 Lattice Aoyama, 1-2-6 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo), led by Tommy OGara.
The brand's iconic "Politician" sunglasses are available in two sizes. The round-cut "Shelby" and Boston-style "Newell" sunglasses are available. They come in four colors: black, tortoiseshell, black fade, and purple fade. All models feature 10-karat gold rivets and adjustable frames. The price is 40,950 yen.

A launch event is also scheduled to be held at colette in Paris at the end of this month.
