Keio Corporation will open Kirarina Keio Kichijoji, a commercial facility connected to Kichijoji Station on the Keio Inokashira Line, on April 23rd. The interior was unveiled for the first time on the 21st.
Kirarina Keio Kichijoji is a station building with 9 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground. With the theme of "Discover many different sides of me, my favorites," the store will offer fashion, cosmetics, miscellaneous goods, food, and more, targeting women in their 30s who value their own values. The goal is to attract 18 million visitors and achieve sales of 13 billion yen in the first year of opening. The facility features a grassy, rooftop terrace where you can relax while your children play, a kids' restroom, a nursing room, a diaper-changing area, and a stroller rental service. "Because it's a commuter town, we created a space that's easy for families with children to use," said a spokesperson for Kirarina Keio Kichijoji. "The restrooms on the fifth floor are equipped with dressers with chairs and fitting rooms where customers can take their time to touch up their makeup, addressing the needs of women." The facility's interior, inspired by Kichijoji's reputation as an art district, was designed by artists with ties to the area. Artwork is featured throughout, including wall illustrations in front of the elevators, birdcage-themed dressers in the restrooms, wall tiles in the kids' restrooms, and the walls of the bench area. Of the 98 tenants, 70 (approximately 70%) are opening in Kichijoji for the first time. A spokesperson for the department store said, "We attracted these stores with the concept of 'things you'd expect to find in Kichijoji, but don't,'" and large select shops such as BEAMS, JOURNAL STANDARD, and URBAN RESEARCH are opening in Kichijoji for the first time. Additionally, apparel brands such as FREDY&GLOSTER, aqua girl, KBF, Tabio, CA4LA, and Oriental Traffic are also opening their first stores in Kichijoji. There's also a wide selection of new lifestyle and general merchandise stores. Some of the stores opening in Tokyo for the first time include "atman atman," a large general goods store stocking everything from bags to cosmetics; "kokori," a Japanese goods shop run by Kyoto-based Japanese tableware manufacturer "Tachikichi"; "Good Morning HOUSE OF ROSE," a "breakfast-themed" cosmetics shop run by cosmetics shop "House of Rose" that sells pancakes, honey, rice and other foods; "SONATA TOKYO," a women's select goods store run by men's select shop "Continental Rhythm Section" in Lumine Tachikawa that is based on the concept of "adult casual Parisian"; and "F organic," which sells only the original brand of natural and organic cosmetics shop "Cosme Kitchen."
