A pop-up store for London brand ART COMES FIRST will be open from April 25th to May 20th at the men's section of UNITED ARROWS' Harajuku flagship store.
In addition to items from this season's collection, such as chest pocket T-shirts (black and white, 9,000 yen each), beige chino pants (26,185 yen), and a black skinny belt (19,000 yen), the store will also be selling the "Tailor's Apron" (15,361 yen), a triple collaboration between UNITED ARROWS & SONS and DENHAM, the Dutch denim brand favored by ART COMES FIRST designers Shaka Maidoh and Sam Lambert. On the first day, Shaka, Sam, and Matteo Gioli of Italian hat brand SuperDuper Hats, who is also part of Art Comes First's collaborative project, "THE COAL PROJECT," will visit the store for an opening party starting at 6:00 PM. ART COMES FIRST was launched in the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection by stylist and fashion consultant Shaka and brand creative director Sam. The brand has collaborated with brands, artists, and artisans, including New York sports apparel shop PONY and Norwegian Rain, a rainwear manufacturer in Norway. United Arrows & Sons director Motofumi "POGGY" Ogi took notice, and a pop-up event was held in October 2013.
