The full story of "Lala Terrace Musashikosugi." Creating a sophisticated Musashikosugi

Apr 18, 2014

Mitsui Fudosan will open a new commercial facility, "Mitsui Shopping Park Lala Terrace Musashi-Kosugi," on April 19th. Directly connected to Musashi-Kosugi Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line and Meguro Line, the facility aims to become a new landmark for the area. The facility's full details were unveiled on the 17th. Musashi-Kosugi, connected to 13 train lines, is the largest transportation hub in the Tokyo metropolitan area and is currently attracting the most attention as a desirable place to live. The facility targets residents, workers, and visitors of Musashi-Kosugi, offering a high-quality, sophisticated lifestyle. The facility aims for annual sales of 6 to 7 billion yen and 3.5 million visitors. The exterior harmonizes with the neighboring Park City Musashi-Kosugi, while the interior, based on the concept of "Musashi no Mori," features a contemporary style with earth tones and wood tones. The first floor is directly connected to the Musashi-Kosugi Station ticket gates. Kosugi Marche, designed to allow customers to easily enjoy the essence of a department store basement, offers a lineup of shops including Seijo Ishii groceries, Godiva and Kofukudo sweets shops, Toritake and Shiki no Aji Kenshintei Takumi prepared foods, and Uoriki and Kyushuya fresh produce stores. There's also a retail zone, featuring cosmetics brand L'Occitane, kitchen goods retailer 212KITCHEN, and Afternoon Tea TEA STAND, opening its first store in Kanagawa Prefecture. The second and third floors are lined with fashion and miscellaneous goods stores. Men's and women's clothing complexes include URBAN RESEARCH DOORS, UNITED ARROWS green label relaxing, Coen, and adidas Originals. Other shops include Mont-bell (outdoor goods) and MUJI (household goods), as well as children's clothing and lingerie shops, creating a diverse floor.

The fourth floor is home to medical, housing, and lifestyle services, offering a clinic mall, hair salons, fitness centers, cooking classes, and more.

Tomohide Yamamura of Mitsui Fudosan's Commercial Facilities Division said, "Our trade area is within a 3km radius of Musashi-Kosugi Station, home to 150,000 households and 320,000 residents, but we naturally target station users as well. With the neighboring Tokyu Square and the Grand Tree Musashi-Kosugi, which will open in the fall, we want to promote shopping in the area through a cooperative rather than competitive approach, working together to invigorate the area." This is Mitsui Fudosan's first store under the "Lala Terrace" brand. "Lala Terrace is only possible when the location and merchandise mix are a perfect match, and this time we chose the ideal location in Musashi-Kosugi. As there are currently no suitable locations, we have yet to decide on a second store." The Mitsui Fudosan Group also announced the standardization of its point card service, which can be used at downtown commercial facilities such as Coredo Muromachi, as well as LaLaport, Mitsui Outlet Park, and LaLa Terrace.
