May 10, 2017

NEST INN HAKONE in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, will host the "Spring Tawaraishi Bread Festival" in collaboration with the local community from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM on May 14th. The event, centered around the theme of "all participants becoming one community," aims to create a community that transcends the boundaries of the hotel, the local area, guests, and local residents, and is centered around BABYLON BIRD BAKERY, in collaboration with Kamakura bakery Paradise Alley. Participants will knead and share bread, and the bread born from this borderless creativity will be exhibited as art pieces. There will also be a market featuring dishes made with bread in collaboration with local businesses and retailers, and sales of coffee that pairs perfectly with the bread, bread masks, art pieces, and more. Live performances by local artists are also planned for the evening and night. Performers include SAICOBAB, F.I.B JOURNAL, Hibiki Sakurai, Yasutsugu Seto, Daiho Soga CINEMA dub MONKS, Roki, Tommy Returntables, Kunichi Nomura, Shunji Mori (Natural Calamity), Vincent Bogora, and more.
