The Aoyama Bread Festival, bringing together specialty bakeries from across Japan, will be held on May 20th and 21st at the United Nations University Courtyard Plaza in Aoyama, Tokyo. Over 80 diverse bakeries will participate in the event, attracting approximately 50,000 visitors. The theme for this 11th festival is "Aoyama Bread Picnic! - A Delicious Weekend to Share." Popular bakeries Blanc, Corduroy, Fermentation Lab, and six others will collaborate with COCONO HOP, famous for its craft beer, FUJIMARU Wine Shop, offering natural wine and cuisine, and Ambient Brew, a specialty coffee shop. A luxurious picnic sandwich and drink set (¥1,600 including tax) exclusive to the Aoyama Bread Festival will be available to pre-order. Reservations can be made at https://breadlab.stores.jp. A free tasting booth for Boursin, the world's most popular fresh-flavored cheese, will also be available. You can choose from four flavors - garlic & herb, plain, pepper, or cranberry - and spread it on bread purchased at the event. In addition to the traditional bread market featuring 40 to 50 vendors, there will also be a workshop where you can compare 10 different types of bread (participation fee: 2,000 yen/maximum 30 people), an event where you can discover delicious combinations of bread and sake (participation fee: 3,500 yen/maximum 25 people), and an event where you can dip bread in "disco soup" made with discounted vegetables, making for a two-day event packed with events where you can enjoy bread.
