Chiba interior shop TIMBER YARD holds 21st anniversary event

May 3, 2017

Timber Yard, an interior design shop in Mihama Ward, Chiba, is celebrating its 21st anniversary by revamping part of its store and its logo. To commemorate this, the shop is holding an event until May 30th.

Originating as a small lumberyard in Chiba Prefecture in 1924, the shop reopened in 1995, over 70 years later. The store, which features a cafe, model room, and event space, has been revamped as part of its challenge to create a new type of home. The new logo was created by KIGI, a creative unit consisting of Ryosuke Uehara and Yoshie Watanabe. Furthermore, to stock international brands, buyer Yu Yamada has been brought in to create a comprehensive lineup ranging from furniture and miscellaneous goods to housing.

During the event, KIGI original products will be on sale, and there will be the "Coci la elle Rainy Day/Sunny Day Outing Exhibition" with original umbrellas, parasols, handkerchiefs and raincoats, and the "TIMBER YARD Original Furniture Presentation" where new TV stands will be on display and you can order them.In addition, there will be special events held on the day, such as a woodworking class on the 3rd, a nerikiri class on the 4th, and pita bread sandwiches and flower sales on the 7th, so you can enjoy a variety of content that makes use of the space in the store.
