Maison du Bon Japon is selling jam made to perfectly recreate Louis XV's beloved recipe exclusively in Japan.

May 16, 2017

"Puits d'Amour," a jam created in collaboration between La Confiture Parisienne and Antoinette Poisson (¥4,450 including tax and shipping from France), will be sold exclusively in Japan at Maison du Bon Japon from May 12th.

This jam is the result of a collaboration between La Confiture Parisienne, which produces unique, high-quality jams using carefully selected seasonal fruits without any additives, and Antoinette Poisson, which produces paper products using traditional French design and printing techniques.

"Puits d'Amour," a jam-filled pie pastry, was born when King Louis XV ordered his pastry chef to create the most delicious dessert in the world. The jam recipe, perfectly recreated after more than 200 years, is made with currants, raspberries, and violette jelly.

You can purchase it from Maison du Bon Japon (http://www.maisondubon.jp/) and it will be shipped directly from Paris via Yamato International Courier in as little as four days.
