The Shimokitazawa Curry Festival 2014 will be held again this year for 10 days from October 10th to 19th. Shimokitazawa, known for its unique and diverse culture, including fashion, music, and theater, is often featured on television and in magazines as a gourmet town. It's also known as a "hidden curry town" with many unique curry restaurants. The Shimokitazawa Curry Festival, an annual curry festival, began in October 2012. This year, in its third year, the festival is co-hosted by the community-based social networking site "I LOVE Shimokitazawa" and the Azuma-dori Shopping Arcade. The festival has expanded in scale, with 104 participating restaurants (up from 76 last time). In addition, the festival will collaborate with Irish whiskey "JAMESON," offering special cocktails at select participating restaurants. The Jameson-based special cocktail, "JAMESON Ginger & Lime," combines the rich aroma and smooth flavor of the whiskey with a refreshing, spicy kick. The light taste of the soda makes it an excellent match with the spicy curry.

Jameson has collaborated with Shimokitazawa's theater and art events many times, and this year's event aims to offer new discoveries in delicious food. Meanwhile, the Shimokitazawa Curry Festival will be held for the third time this year, with a total of 104 shops participating.
