Model Ellie-Rose was born on September 25, 1986, in Tokyo. Her former stage name was Eri Kawamura. Her father is a Japanese photographer and her mother is a British stylist. At the age of 12, she caught the eye of photographer Kishin Shinoyama, who worked with her mother, and published the photo book "ELLI-ROSE." With Shinoyama's encouragement, she became interested in the modeling industry. She made her modeling debut in the preteen fashion magazine "nicola." She continued to work as a street model in magazines such as "Zipper," "mini," and "CUTiE," and in 2011 appeared in the inaugural issue of "Gina," a sister magazine of "JELLY." At the age of 18, she was featured as a model in the fashion magazine "ViVi," gaining recognition in Japan. She was also featured as a model for the lingerie brand "Ravijour."
