On March 22nd and 23rd, the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building's rooftop I-Garden will host Veuve Clicquot's "Veuve Clicquot Spring Couture" event to celebrate the beginning of spring. A pre-party was held on the 20th. The open rooftop space is decked out in Veuve Clicquot's signature yellow, down to the finest details, including tables and chairs. Since Veuve Clicquot's Yellow Label (1,200 yen) and Rose Label (1,500 yen) are available at the event, rose accents are used throughout. Based on the concept of "What if Veuve Clicquot were a fashion brand?", the venue features a Veuve Clicquot-inspired torso and sewing machine, and unique chairs with a spool design are available. Stitching motifs are used on tables and other items. Veuve Clicquot celebrates the beginning of each season with unique style through its "SEASON" events, held around the world throughout the year. This year's event featured the legendary designer Madame Gres, known as La Grande Dame of the haute couture world, and a special exhibition of her precious collection was one of the highlights. Each of the nine pieces in the collection features a soft, white long dress. During the event, attendees will be offered a service to create a sketch of themselves wearing one of the dresses. The pre-party was a popular success, attracting many fashionistas who love champagne. Based on the concept, finger foods featuring sewing tools such as pincushions, spools of thread, and tape measures were served. The plates on which the food was served were also decorated with stitching motifs and buttons, demonstrating the brand's meticulous attention to detail. Model Ellie Rose also made an appearance as a special guest and performed a DJ set, livening up the atmosphere.
The event is open from 4pm to 9pm. Admission is free.
