ISSEY MIYAKE's HaaT brand will be holding an event called "Yamamoto Katsuhito 'AIR' x HaaT" at stores nationwide from May 6th to 31st, showcasing this season's collection inspired by the work of artist Yamamoto Katsuhito. Yamamoto's works, including "AIR," will be exhibited in a space designed by Yamamoto Katsuhito at Isetan Shinjuku from May 9th to 17th, and at HaaT / AOYAMA from May 18th to 31st.
This season's HaaT collection is primarily inspired by three of Yamamoto Katsuhito's works. New pieces include the "AIR2" JACQUARD series, which uses cut jacquard to express Yamamoto's "AIR" work; the "CIRCLE BROAD" series, a lightweight cotton piece with floating circle embroidery all over, inspired by Yamamoto's "Kokorogokoro" work; and the "S-AIR 5" series, which uses jacquard to weave the "AIR" pattern from cupra and cotton. Among these, "S-AIR 5" tops (55,000 yen) and dresses (65,000 yen, 75,000 yen) will be available exclusively at three stores: HaaT/AOYAMA, Isetan Shinjuku, and Fukuoka Iwataya. In addition, a limited edition necklace by jewelry artist Chikako Yajima will be available at HaaT/AOYAMA from the 18th, and works by Katsuhito Yamamoto and limited edition colors of "AIR2" JACQUARD will be available at Isetan Shinjuku from the 9th. In addition, at these two stores, an exhibition of Yamamoto's works, including "AIR," will be held in a space designed by Katsuhito Yamamoto.
