Chinatsu Wakatsuki announced on her blog that she will step down from her position as exclusive designer for the fashion brand "wc (double c)" and will be involved with the brand as a creative advisor. In a blog post posted on January 6th, she wrote, "After experiencing Tokyo Collection last year, I still have a lot to learn. There's also a part of me that just loves fashion, and a part of me that wants to see how far that emotion can take me... After honestly expressing all my feelings and discussing them, we've come to the conclusion that I'll watch over the future development of double c." She also touched on the future, saying, "I'll continue to work hard in 2013, aiming to create an environment where I can once again appear in a collection as a designer. I'll let you know when things start to look up. Right now, I don't see anything. lol." "wc" debuted in 2009 under WEGO Co., Ltd. (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo). Long lines formed when the brand's first store, "WC Shibuya Center-gai Store," opened in Shibuya in October 2011. On October 15, 2012, she made her first official appearance at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO (commonly known as Tokyo Collection). She held a runway show in front of fellow celebrities and many fans, and the novelty items handed out at the venue on the day were sold at high prices on online auction sites, creating a buzz.
