■ "At Zenith" by William Eggleston

American photographer William Eggleston, known as the "pioneer of new color" for holding the world's first color photography exhibition, photographed the sky from the car window using an early instant camera while traveling by car from Georgia to Tennessee in 1978. Impressed by the resulting visuals, reminiscent of classical frescoes, Eggleston lay face down on the ground the next day and continued photographing the sky.

Clouds floating against a Cecilian blue sky. Eggleston titled this series "Wedgwood Blue" and in 1979 he selected 15 works from the series and published them as a limited edition photo book of 20 copies. This book features 33 works in a design based on the 1979 book "Wedgwood Blue."
