Founded in 1978, Saryo Tsujiri, a Uji tea specialty shop in Gion, Kyoto, began offering limited-edition menus at its Gion flagship store, Kyoto Isetan store, and Daimaru Tokyo store from August 1st.

"Nami no Hana" (1,080 yen including tax), available exclusively at the Gion flagship store, is shaved ice made with brown sugar and kinako syrup. The shaved ice, which combines the fluffy textures of syrup and ice, is topped with caramelized almonds for added texture.

"Kameyama" (1,084 yen including tax), also available exclusively at the Gion flagship store, is a shiratama (rice flour dumplings) topped with Tamba Dainagon red beans and brown rice cream. The chewy texture of the shiratama, the flavor of the red beans, and the fragrant aroma of the brown rice make for an exquisite dessert.

The Kyoto Isetan store is offering "Tsuki no Shizuku" (1,080 yen including tax), a summery dish made with cool ingredients. It is topped with popular Gion Tsujiri sweets, matcha warabimochi, a two-layer jelly of yuzu lemon and sencha, and gatobubu (roasted green tea).

The Daimaru Tokyo store is offering "Kifune Shigure" (1,188 yen including tax), a lemon and matcha shaved ice. Topped with lemon and matcha sorbet, it is a shaved ice characterized by the refreshing taste of lemon and the clean feeling of sorbet.

The "Nami no Hana", "Tsuki no Shizuku", and "Kifune Shigure" shaved ice will be available until August 31st. The end date of "Kameyama" has not yet been decided.
