Grand Hyatt Tokyo to host first autumn beer garden, recreating an American bar from the 1960s and 1970s

Aug 7, 2015

Grand Hyatt Tokyo will host a fall American beer garden, "Classic American Pop-Up Bar," in the Chapel Garden on the fourth floor of the banquet hall from September 11 to October 23. The venue, based on the concept of a "60s-70s American bar," is decorated with vintage neon signs, 60s movie posters, and a jukebox. Oldies and other American music and movies from the era will be played, creating an atmosphere that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time to America. The set menu (6,000 yen) is inspired by classic American style and includes popcorn, nachos, onion rings, chili dogs, French fries, and coleslaw. Free-flowing drinks include Budweiser, bourbon, and soft drinks. Additional menu items (1,000 yen each) include avocado tomato salad, buffalo wings, and popsicles. The dates for the event are September 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, October 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 16th and 23rd, for a total of 10 sessions.
