Anrealage to sell "illuminated clothing" at Isetan Men's!

Aug 12, 2015

ANREALAGE will open a pop-up shop at International Creators on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from August 12th to 24th. The brand's theme for AW15 is "LIGHT." The message expressed through fashion is, "When night falls and darkness arrives, people shine because darkness exists. We shine in the darkness to see what is there, and we shine our clothes to see what isn't." Designer Kunihiko Morinaga commented, "I wanted to express through my clothes the experience of illuminating darkness with light, something everyone has experienced." Clothes dyed in black and gray are accented with large white circles, as if illuminated by a single spotlight. Collars, buttons, and fabrics stand out vividly, revealing details that would only be visible in the dark. Items include coats, jackets, knitwear, and cut-and-sew tops. The designs, which embody this season's theme of light, include large circular patterns that look as if several lights have been shone on them, and prints such as checks and dots that emerge, delighting viewers as if they are interacting with a work of art.

During the event, Isetan Shinjuku will be hosting the "Isetan Art & Creation Festa 2015," a promotion themed "ART IS THE FUTURE." According to a buyer at Isetan, "ANREALAGE's clothing, which incorporates scientific elements in its designs, has a very strong artistic appeal, and its unprecedented innovativeness is extremely modern, which is why we decided to open a pop-up shop at this time."
