Noh performance at Zenkokai Santa Fe Garden Hills Summer Festival. Art workshop by Shinji Ohmaki.

Aug 11, 2015

Zenkokai, a social welfare corporation that organizes events to allow nursing home residents to experience authentic art, will hold a summer festival on August 23rd at the Santa Fe Garden Hills complex.

The "Santa Festa 2015" summer festival, also held on August 23rd, is an annual summer festival event held at Santa Fe Garden Hills. Last year, approximately 2,000 people attended, and it was well-received by residents, their families, and local residents. This year's stage performance will feature a Noh performance in cooperation with the Odawara Art Foundation, founded by contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto. In addition, various food stalls and special booths by well-known stores that do not usually participate in events will be set up.

In addition, Zenkokai will hold a workshop in September, which has been held since 2009. On the 9th, the first workshop of the year will be held, inviting contemporary artist Shinji Ohmaki to participate in a fan painting experience. Based on the frame designed by Shinji Ohmaki, each participant created their own work using their own unique ideas.
