On January 7th, TOPMAN DESIGN unveiled its 2013-14 Fall/Winter collection. The collection's motif was the gentleman explorer, portraying a man who enjoys a noble journey and absorbs its background and culture.
The first half of the collection featured clean white outfits. Gradually, the colors became cream, yellow, orange, and deep red, gradually increasing in intensity. The second half concluded with a midnight blue for an elegant look.
Tops included oversized coats with short fur hoods and pea coats. New layering styles were proposed, such as layering a short outer layer over a tailored jacket. Other tops included many double-breasted jackets, creating a noble atmosphere. The leather backpacks paired with the jackets were of professional quality. Functional details included a leather hip flask, iPad case, and compass holder. Knitwear was frequently used for innerwear, coordinated with oversized cable knits and glitter knits. A wrap cardigan with no fastening was also featured. The bottoms have a wide silhouette and are styled to be tucked into explorer boots or hiking socks. The socks are paired with sandals that are in keeping with the theme. Knee-length shorts, a style that has continued since spring and summer, are still in vogue. The runway was overall finished with a sporty feel reminiscent of exploration, and a gentlemanly impression.
