French fry specialty store AND THE FRIET will be launching its food truck, "FRIETRUCK," this fall. To celebrate, the store will be releasing a new, innovative food item on October 19th. And the Frits, a French fry specialty store where customers can choose their favorite variety and cut of potato from six carefully selected seasonal varieties and enjoy them with a variety of dips and toppings, will be appearing in its truck this fall at events, shopping spots, and other street corners. The compact design, which can be detached from the towing vehicle, allows the store to offer the same extensive menu as a street-level store, even in limited spaces such as the eaves of a commercial building. The trailer was designed with art direction by Naomi Hirabayashi of PLUG-IN GRAPHIC. Also, to commemorate the truck's launch, a pita sandwich featuring Belgian French fries and a special dip, a favorite since the store's founding, will be available for 700 yen (tax included). It will be available at And the Frites Hiroo main store and Yokohama store from October 19th, and from a food truck from November 5th.
