AND THE FRIET, a French fry specialty store, will release its "Homemade Potato Chips" on April 8th. The two new flavors available this time are "Wave," made with Yukon Gold potatoes grown in the American Northwest and cut into a wavy pattern, and "Slice," made with thickly sliced Russet Burbank potatoes with the skin still on, a staple in the United States (500 yen each, tax included). Customers can also choose from five different seasonings to sprinkle on the chips. The lineup includes "Premium Salt," made with French sea salt; "Herb Salt," made with five kinds of herbs; "Nori Shio," made with domestically grown green laver; "Shrimp & Basil," made with wild shrimp; and "Herb Gorgonzola," a combination of herb salt and flavorful Gorgonzola powder. Also available is a "Half & Half Set" (starting at 780 yen, tax included), which allows customers to choose two of their favorite fries and one dip. New original sodas, such as "Cassis Ginger" and "Citrus Ginger," that go well with homemade potato chips and fritters will also be added.
