Aug 5, 2016

Isetan Mitsukoshi Food Services, a food subsidiary of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., will open "FOOD & TIME ISETAN" this fall at Atre Shinagawa in Shinagawa, Tokyo.

FOOD & TIME ISETAN is a lifestyle store that offers food expertise and proposes lifestyles that expand from food. It is made up of four areas to suit different needs: "Enjoy (liquor, wine bar, sweets, deli)," "Cook (fruit and vegetables, livestock, seafood)," "Eat (food court)," and "Spend, live, learn (cafe, miscellaneous goods, books)," and will offer different services depending on the time of day. Within each area of the facility, the "Enjoy & Make" area will feature Queens Isetan, a supermarket offering fresh, lively, and clean products with high-quality products. The "Eat" area will feature Boulangerie Asanoya, a full-fledged bakery founded in 1933; Guzman y Gomez, offering quick and healthy Mexican food with a focus on fresh ingredients and handmade products; and Antenna America, a beer bar promoting craft beer culture. The "Spend, Live, Learn" area will see the opening of Blue Bottle Coffee, a cafe that debuted in Japan in February 2015. Plans also call for the Mitsukoshi Isetan Group to offer a selection of cosmetics, miscellaneous goods, and books related to food. The project will be produced by Yoko Shibata and designed by Suppose Design Office, an architectural firm run by Makoto Tanijiri and Ai Yoshida.
