AND THE FRIET, a French fry specialty store, will open at Lumine Tachikawa on April 27th and at Laforet Harajuku on April 29th. AND THE FRIET offers authentic Belgian-style French fries. They offer six varieties of potato, including the "Bintje" variety, air-shipped from Belgium, cut into sticks, crescents, and half-shapes to bring out the best flavor. Ten different dips, including homemade mayonnaise and special tomato ketchup, will also be available. The Harajuku store will be pre-selling "Sugar Butter Frites" (630 yen including tax), which feature fritters covered in plenty of sugar and topped with butter syrup and whipped cream. A limited-edition dip, "Mentaiko Butter Mayo," will also be available. Meanwhile, the Tachikawa store will offer a limited-edition dip, "Ginger Lemon Mayonnaise," made with pesticide-free eggs from the local Akiruno city.

In addition, all stores will have a new lineup of original sodas made with a focus on homemade ingredients. There will be five varieties in total, including "Ginger Ale" made with domestic ginger and a unique blend of spices, and "Honey Lemon Soda" made with carefully selected lemons.

Following the Hiroo store which opened in 2013, these two stores will be And the Frits' first in-store locations. Like the Hiroo store, the interiors are designed with a blue theme reminiscent of street corners overseas. In addition, to commemorate the opening, both stores will be running a "TRY FRIET" campaign until May 6th, where customers can sample their favorite fritters. What's more, if you follow the store's Instagram, you will receive an original "picnic sheet" on a first-come, first-served basis.
