French children's clothing brand Kok An Pad opens a limited-time shop at Shinjuku Isetan

May 24, 2014

French baby and children's goods brand Coq en Pate is opening a limited-time shop in the Girls' & Boys' Tasteful Style section on the 6th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. It will be open until May 27th.
Coq en Pate means "to love a child" in French. Founded by a French-Japanese couple living in France, the brand uses skin-friendly organic cotton for its cotton products and produces products based on fair trade principles. The brand has collaborated with various artists in the past, and this time it is offering animal-patterned items featuring graphics by mibo, a craft artist who uses recycled paper.
T-shirts (4,300 yen) featuring giraffes, tigers, and lions feature pop-style animal designs on the front and the backs of the animals printed on the backs. The backpack (6,900 yen) has adjustable straps and is suitable for children from toddlers to around 6 years old. Other items available include a knapsack (2,900 yen), shoulder bag (3,900 yen), coin case (1,600 yen), and melamine plate (1,100 yen) with the same pattern.
