CHANEL presented its 2014-2015 Cruise Collection with a runway show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The sand-colored building specially constructed for the show on Dubai's coastline was decorated with mashrabiya (latticed windows) and an oasis within. The show began after sunset under candlelight. Artistic Director Karl Lagerfeld said, "This is an idealized Orient for everyone. Influences range from legend to film, from the paintings of Delacroix to the work of Paul Poiret in 1914." Key pieces included a bolero jacket with voluminous sleeves embroidered with tiny sequins, a tweed playsuit belted at the waist, gold lurex silk baggy pants, and a neoprene jacket embroidered with camellias. Prints inspired by oriental mosaics, combining floral and geometric patterns, adorned dresses and silk chiffon tunics. For the evening, a silk crepe dress studded with jewels and a long dress embroidered with braid evoked Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. Lightweight and delicate fabrics, including lightweight tweed, silk chiffon, linen, gold lamé, and cotton voile, were often used, creating a playful style with sheerness and layering. Accessories included watches, fine jewelry, and costume jewelry, along with jerry can-shaped handbags crafted from quilted gold leather, jeweled sandals, and oriental slippers. Curls adorned with crescent-moon tiaras were styled in the style of actress Marisa Berenson, granddaughter of Elsa Schiaparelli.

The show was attended by 1,000 guests, including Chanel ambassadors Vanessa Paradis, Tilda Swinton, Anna Mouglalis, Alice Dellal, and Zhou Xun, as well as celebrities such as Dakota Fanning, Freida Pinto, Eliza Sednaoui, Yasmine Hamdan, Razzane Jamal, and film directors Nadine Labaki and Abdullah Al Kaabi. A concert by singer Janelle Monáe was also featured.
