Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings will open the "Isetan Haneda Store (Men's) Terminal 2" and "Isetan Haneda Store (Women's) Terminal 1" at Haneda Airport this summer. This marks the company's first store selling women's items within the airport. This will bring the total number of stores at Haneda Airport to three, including the "Isetan Haneda Store" selling men's items, which has been open in the airport's Domestic Terminal 1 since April 2012.
The Isetan Haneda Store (Women's) Terminal 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "Women's Store") will open on July 18th in the departure gate lounge on the second floor of the airport's Terminal 1. The store occupies an area of approximately 600 square meters. The design concept of the women's store is "open living." The spacious interior will be designed to evoke scenes from home or travel. The store will be divided into four zones, with a focus on clothing and miscellaneous goods. The store aims to offer fashion and lifestyle ideas that respond to women's changing moods and dress codes as they transition from everyday life to travel.
The first zone, "Weekend," will offer items suitable for everyday use while traveling. This will be home to "Lady for the Weekend," a concept shop centered on the company's private brand, located on the second floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. It will offer a selection of brands like "BORDERS at BALCONY," "coohem," and "mother," proposing a travel wardrobe for women. This zone will also carry miscellaneous goods such as handbags, wallets, scarves, and accessories. A new brand, "Flight One," will be introduced, offering suitcases and travel goods with a travel theme.
The second zone, with a "Vacation" theme, will offer resort-inspired items such as sandals, sunglasses, and hats, as well as cosmetics. Items will be available to help you transition from everyday life to travel and relax. This zone will also feature a large presence of "Beauty Apocalypse," located on the second basement floor of Isetan Shinjuku. The store will also carry natural hair and body care items from brands like John Masters Organics, La CASTA, and DEICA. The third, "Trend" zone, will offer trendy fashion from Isetan Shinjuku, as well as practical fashion and gift items for travel and everyday use. The gift section will be a redesigned version of "Re-Style Gifts," a gift offering inspired by Isetan's own independently curated shop, "Re-Style," which is based on the concept of "proposing the world's latest and most fashionable styles." The "Tokyo Designers Collaboration" section will also feature highly exclusive collaboration items with Tokyo-based designers, including exclusive items from brands like mina perhonen and HYKE. Because this zone occupies a special position within the store, the flooring will be different from the other zones, creating a special atmosphere. The fourth zone, "Cafe & Relax," features Rose Bakery, a cafe also available at Isetan Shinjuku, and Sky High, a juice stand. Rose Bakery will offer gift boxes and new original goods exclusive to airport stores. Additionally, uka, a nail salon with only three seats, will offer a wide variety of menu items perfect for pre-flight hours. The opening of two stores at Haneda Airport this summer is part of Isetan Mitsukoshi's strategy to expand customer contact points. Haneda Airport handles more than 65 million passengers annually, including both international and domestic flights, with 28 million visitors to Terminal 1 alone. With a significant increase in international flights this March and the 2020 Olympics in sight, Haneda Airport is strengthening its role as Japan's gateway. The company plans to continue establishing new store models that take into account the airport's unique location and expanding its airport store business.
The men's shop "Isetan Haneda Store" will open in Haneda Airport's Terminal 2 on June 13th. Continued from the women's section.
