Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. has finalized the development outline for the commercial zone of the "Dai Nagoya Building," currently under development in Meieki 3-chome, Nakamura Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, scheduled for opening in the fall of 2015.

The anchor tenant will be Mitsukoshi Isetan Group's new medium-sized select store. The store will be located from the first basement floor to part of the second floor, covering approximately 3,000 square meters. Targeting discerning men and women, the store will offer women's, men's, and miscellaneous goods fashion.

The commercial zone, spanning from the first basement floor to the third floor, boasts an area of approximately 8,500 square meters and is planned to house approximately 80 stores. It will include a variety of businesses, including apparel, miscellaneous goods, food, and restaurants. The retail zone's concept is "nostalgic x creative," and will feature new formats from leading local and national specialty stores, as well as brands opening in the Meieki area for the first time. The food and beverage zone will feature a lineup of famous restaurants based on the concept of "food and fun," aiming to create a dining space that will be bustling all day long.

The target audience is "Tokai city workers" (office workers and businesswomen) who spend their time in the area around Nagoya Station. The development concept is "D.N.A. (Dai-Nagoya Building Advance)." While inheriting the DNA of the former Dai-Nagoya Building, which was built in 1962 and was a beloved symbol of Nagoya Station, the zone aims to become a new face of the region by combining and evolving the tenant network of Mitsubishi Estate, which has been proposing lifestyles for urban dwellers, with local specialty shops beloved in Nagoya City and the Chukyo region.
