Jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels has announced its new high jewelry collection, "Pierres de Caractere VARIATIONS."
This collection comes seven years after the "Pierres de Caractere" collection, which celebrates the creations of the Arpels brothers, Claude, Jacques, and Pierre, from the 1950s to the 1970s, when they traveled around the world and embraced different cultures.
The collection offers a fresh interpretation of the freely combined use of materials, including diamonds, colored stones, mother-of-pearl, and hard stones. The two-tone jewelry collection, based on the theme of "Duet of Color," includes the "Oriental Princess Necklace" featuring rubies from Mozambique totaling over 40 carats, the "Ancory Precieuse Ring" featuring an old-cut diamond set in the center of a diamond and ruby petal pattern, the "Precious Light Ear Clip" featuring a pair of yellow diamonds with a detachable tassel, and the "Seaside Ring" featuring a round-cut turquoise with a yellow diamond at the center.
The "Colorful Camaiu" collection, based on the theme of color gradations, includes the "Camai de Bleu Ring" featuring diamonds and sapphires intersecting, the "Geometric Flower Bracelet" featuring geometric lines of lapis lazuli, Paraiba tourmaline, and green chrysoprase, and the "Summer Cocktail Ring" featuring a 21.19-carat pink spinel centerpiece set with alternating coral and mauve sapphires. The "Palette of Color" collection, which is themed around colorful jewelry, includes the "Women's Cocktail Ring" set with diamonds, turquoise, and carved rubellite in a dome shape, and the "Zip Elegance Necklace" made of onyx, coral, and white cultured pearls in a zipper necklace.
