The owners of Genoa, Italy-based fragrance house "NOBILE1942" visited Japan for the first time and held a new product launch event at Tokyo Midtown on May 21st. The new release is the eau de toilette "VESPRI ORIENTLE" (75ml/¥15,000), due for release in August. Its unisex citrus-oriental notes feature top notes of bergamot and tangerine, linked to base notes of oud and cedar. The citrus and oud, which don't usually mix, are neutralized and connected by a middle note of jasmine. The refreshing yet deep fragrance, according to owner Massimo Nobile, "is perfect for everyday use as well as elegant evening occasions. It's a 'citrus of the night,' so to speak." At the venue, the Italian restaurant Botanica, slides of Genoa's scenery were shown, and Stefania explained the city's highlights. The event proceeded in a harmonious atmosphere throughout. Nobile 1942 was founded in Rome in 1942 by Umberto Nobile and has been passed down through three generations, including the current owner, Massimo. Committed to using natural fragrances, the company has skilled artisans in charge of everything from bottling to packaging. Without relying on unusual ingredients, the brand continues to create elegant, soft fragrances suitable for a wide range of occasions. It is sold in select shops and department stores in 24 countries around the world, including Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. In Japan, it is sold at Tomorrowland, Hankyu Men's, and other stores in Tokyo and Osaka.
